The Scotia-Glenville 250th Independence Celebration officially begins! Visitors are invited to explore community exhibits, historical displays, activity stations, local vendors, and family-friendly attractions throughout Collins Park and the surrounding event area.
5:00 PM | Opening Ceremony | Freedom Park Stage
Help us commemorate this historic milestone with a special opening ceremony featuring: * Welcoming Remarks * Address from the Glenville Town Supervisor, Bob Kirkham Jr. * Address from the Scotia Village Mayor, David Bucciferro * Reading of the Declaration of Independence by Christopher Tosh * Presentation of Art Contest Awards * Presentation of Essay Contest Awards
6:00 PM | Performance by the Musicians of Ma’alwyck | Freedom Park Stage
Experience the sounds of early America with a performance by the Musicians of Ma’alwyck, bringing history to life through period music and traditional instruments.
7:00 PM | Electric City Waterski Show Team | Mohawk River behind Jumpin’ Jacks
Watch the Electric City Waterski Team perform thrilling jumps, formations, and stunts on the Mohawk River in a family-friendly show celebrating community spirit and summertime traditions.
8:00 PM | Evening Entertainment by Roxy and the Rollers | Freedom Park Stage
Dance, sing along, and enjoy live entertainment as Roxy and the Rollers take the stage to keep the celebration going into the evening.
9:20 PM | Fireworks Spectacular Presented by Jumpin’ Jack’s
The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over the Mohawk River, honoring 250 years of American independence and celebrating the communities of Scotia and Glenville.
