Notice- Now that we are approaching fall it is that time of year that the Scotia Fire Department will be conducting the annual fire hydrant testing on village hydrants. As always when the hydrants are tested it does stir up settlement and can discolor the water for a short time. If you notice discolored water, we recommend that you run the water for a few minutes until the water clears up. Testing the village hydrants is a very important task that we perform annually to verify the hydrants function correctly and to note their flow incase of an emergency. We apologize for any inconvenience that this process may cause the residents of the village. As testing of the hydrants is performed by the on-duty crew exact times of when the testing will happen is not possible as they are also responding to emergencies. Testing should be completed by the end of October.
