Village Hall Temporary Move Details and Renovation Schedule
Schedule of Renovations known at this time
o During April Scotia Village Hall will be “Posted” for asbestos removal
o Protective Fencing will be installed around the building in Mid-April
o Asbestos Removal is expected to start in April
o Renovations are anticipated to begin in early May
o At this time, we are still working through minimizing any pedestrian or traffic flow disruptions that could take place.
o During renovations all phone numbers will remain the same.
Department Move Dates
Police and Court Clerk
Police and Court Clerk will be moving on April 7th
Police Offices and the Court Clerk Offices will be located 299 North Ballston Avenue This is the cream-colored building behind Baptist Retirement Home.
There will be separate entrances for Police and Court.
Signage will be located at site to direct residents to the proper entrances
Mailing Address for both police and court will remain the same 4 No. Ten Broeck, Scotia NY 12302.
Court will be held at the Glenville Town Court, located at 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville.
Police Offices will have a disrupƟon in onsite services on April 7th reopening on April 8th for onsite services.
There will be no disrupƟon on Police Coverage for the village during the move.
Court Clerk Offices will be closed on the 7th and reopen on April 8th.
Clerk’s Office and Mayors Office
The Village Clerks Office will be located at 207 Sacandaga Road Suite 104. (as you look at the
building it will be the office to the far right of the building)
The mayors will be located at the New Firehouse. Because of security protocols at the firehouse,
in person appointments will need to be scheduled in advance.

The clerk’s office will be closed for onsite business April 7,8 and 9th reopening for full service on
the 10th. Online services and phone inquiries will available during this time with some disruption anticipated as the computer systems are moved to the new site.
Mayors’ office will be closed on the 7th and 8th and will reopen on the 9th. Email would be the best method of communication during this time
Meetings
All Board Meetings including Village Board Meetings, Planning Board Meetings will be held in the
Firehouse Conference Room according to our normal schedule.
Court will be held 2 times a month (1st and 3rd Monday of the month) at the Glenville Municipal Building.
o Upcoming Meeting dates with locations will be posted on the Scotia Village Website.

Last Visit – Open House
o Many have asked me if they can come see the building as it stands one more time. So, if you want to say a goodbye to Village Hall, the Police Station and the old Firehouse the way you once remembered it you are welcome to come say goodbye. I will be at the building on Friday April 11th between 11am and 1pm to welcome anyone interested.
