2026 YARD WASTE COLLECTION

Yard waste collection will resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026

It will continue, weather permitting, through Thursday, December 3, 2026

As in previous years, yard waste will be collected on your regular trash collection day
Please do not place yard waste at the curb prior to the scheduled start date.

Yard Waste Definition:
Yard waste includes residential leaf waste, lawn clippings, and brush

Receptacle Requirements:

  • Grass, leaves, hedge clippings, and twigs must be placed in either:
    • 30-gallon compostable paper bags, or
    • A rigid, waterproof container (maximum 30 gallons) with handles and a lid, clearly marked “Yard Waste.”
  • Each bag or container must not exceed 60 pounds.

 

Brush and Branches:

  • Branches 4 inches or less in diameter and 4 feet or less in length must be bundled and securely tied and weigh less than 60 pounds.
  • Brush or limbs larger than 4 feet long or more than 4 inches in diameter, as well as stumps, must be disposed of by the property owner.

 

Important:
Loose leaves or yard waste raked to the curb will NOT be collected. Please remove these materials from the curb and dispose of them according to the regulations above.

 

Large Appliance Collection Update:
The annual collection of large appliances during the first two weeks of April has been replaced with a year-round program on an as-needed basis. Each appliance must have a sticker, which can be purchased at the Village Clerk’s Office.
