A permit is not required but compliance with the following is:
Chp. 250-49
On a corner lot no fence, wall, hedge or other structure or planting shall be allowed in excess of three feet in height above the street level within the triangular area formed by the intersecting curb lines and a straight line joining said curb lines at points 20 feet from the point of intersection. This does not apply in a commercial or business district where no front yard is required.
Chp. 250-50 Fences.
A. Fences in front yards. No fence, wall or hedge over four feet in height shall be permitted in any required front yard area, except wire mesh or other material providing at least fifty-percent open construction. See Section 250-49.
C. Residential Fences – Fences in side and rear yard. No fence over six feet in height shall be permitted in any side or rear yard.
D. Nonresidential Fences and Residential Fence of dwellings with 4 or more units side and rear yard. No fence over eight feet in height shall be permitted in any side or rear yard.
E. Any fence which has a finished and an unfinished side shall be installed with the finished side facing the abutting property.
F. Fences may be placed up to the property line except that fences that require routine maintenance shall be place two feet or more off the property line within the premises.
G. The provisions of this Section shall not apply to swimming pool fences. (See Section 250.57.1)
