Small Claims
In order to file a small claims matter in Scotia Village Court, the person or corporation whom will be responding must either live, work, or have an office in the Village of Scotia. The address you provide the court must be in the Village of Scotia and cannot be a PO Box.
The amount of your claim can not exceed $3,000. The filing fee is $10.00 if your claim is for $1,000 or less, and $15.00 if it is over $1,000. After submitting the required documents, you will be given a court date.
