- ๐ฏ Participated in regional Gun Buy Back event in partnership with the NYS Attorney General’s Office, NYSP, and other local LE agencies.
- ๐ฐ Awarded an $84K Grant from NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services for mental health crisis intervention.
- ๐ธPurchased additional license plate readers and surveillance camera stations (Byrne JAG Grant)
- ย ๐Annual Scotia Fireworks Event Security Detail completed.

- ๐ Participated in Buckle-Up NY (BUNY) traffic campaign.
- ๐บ๐ธ Memorial Day Parade security handled.
- ๐ฏ Firearms instructor training completed.
- ๐ Began work with County Street Crimes Task Force. (County-Wide)
- ๐ณ Launched Collins Park patrols.
- ๐ฅ Progress on street surveillance camera installs.
- ๐พ Seized dogs adopted; case resolved.
- ๐ง Glennโs Garage burglary suspect arrested.
๐ April 2025 Report
- ๐ Moved to temporary station while existing station is remodeled. (Temp Address of 299 N. Ballston Ave)
- ๐ฎโโ๏ธย Full-Time Detective Position implemented, Det. Marchesani promoted.
- ๐ฐ Awarded $50K surveillance camera grant.
- ๐ด Hosted patrol bike course with Glenville PD, 4 new officers certified for Bike Patrol
๐ January 2025 Report
- ๐ TAFI Software was purchased and implemented to digitalize evidence tracking and tagging.
- ๐ฎโโ๏ธ Hired lateral police officer, department now fully staffed.
- ๐ Chief Halbfinger and SRO Ecker attended School Safety Forum held at Scotia-Glenville Middle School.
๐ December 2024 Report
- ๐งญ Awarded Byrne Justice Grant in the amount of $198,000, to purchase two upfit patrol vehicles and evidence management software. (No local tax burden)
- ๐ Provided security for Holiday on the Ave.
- ๐ธ Signed contract for five fixed license plate readers to be installed within the Village.

- ๐ Officer Falkowitz attended Investigator School.
- ๐ง Officer Peck trained in child advocacy investigations.
- ๐จ Assembly Candidate arrested for mail theft.
- ๐ Ofc. Kuhlmeier selected to be promoted to Sergeant
๐ October 2024 Report
- ๐ข New LiveScan booking equipment installed
- โ Participated in National Coffee with a Cop Day.
- ๐ฒ Acquired 3 brand new patrol bicycles from Freemans Bridge Sports.
- ๐ Arrest made in Nibble Nosh burglary.
